About the Event

This 1 day intensive course covers the next generation of active shooter response, MACTAC (Multi-Assault, Counter Terrorism Action Capabilities).

Topics covered include a MACTAC overview, small unit (two, three, four person) tactics, immediate action drills, Rescue Task Force, and force on force scenarios.

Required Equipment

  • Patrol Rifle (if so equipped) w/ 2 magazines (this course includes UTM drills, we have SOME blue bolts if you bring your own rifle.)
  • Duty gear to include body armor
  • Wraparound eyewear, polycarbonate lenses or non-shattering prescription glasses
  • Hydration system or water bottle
  • Hearing protection

Students are encouraged to bring their own rifle and “blue bolt” if they have it. It is also possible and certainly acceptable to do this course with pistol only if the student is not equipped with a patrol rifle. We will have a limited number of extra UTM rifle bolts available. UTM marking cartridges will be available for purchase or the student can supply their own marking cartridges.

UTM (5.56/.223) ammo is sold in 30 round boxes. Students will need one, maybe 2 boxes. Cost for UTM ammo is as follows: $30/box. Payment for UTM ammo can be made the day of the course via check, cash, Venmo or Zelle only.

NOTE: UTM is a specific brand of bolt and marking cartridge. Different brands/manufacturers are typically not interchangeable.

Students that are only using a pistol will be given an air soft pistol to compete the force on force exercises.

Students are reminded that under no circumstances should live ammunition be anywhere in the training facility. DO NOT BRING LIVE AMMUNITION TO THIS COURSE.
