An analysis of the composition and mentality of gangs and their members. An exploration of identification techniques used to uncover gang symbols membership and language. Detailing the NY gang culture and its roots. Methods of more effectively communicating with gang members. Real stories from real gang members. Their paths and their consequences of living the gang lifestyle. Also a look behind the scenes with interviews of gang members.

About the instructor:  Damien Majersky retired as a second grade detective from the NYPD after 23 years of service. He spent 16 years in the NYPD Bronx Gang Squad Division and is recognized as an expert witness in gang testimony by the U.S. Federal Government- Southern District of New York and NY State Supreme Court- Bronx County. He is a certified NY State DOJ Instructor and featured speaker for the NYPD Detective Bureau Criminal Investigation Course as well as Gang Identification and Investigation Course.
